The data collected on this site is processed by the CEP Monaco association, 9 Chemin de la Turbie, 98000 Monaco — [email protected].

Given that the association is established in Monaco, that the site is hosted within the European Union, and that the children are located in Benin, we apply cumulatively: the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU 2016/679), Monaco law no. 1.565 of 3 December 2024, and the Digital Code of the Republic of Benin (law no. 2017-20).

Contact form: name, email address and message, in order to respond to your request. Donation form: name, email address, amount and, where applicable, phone number, in order to process your intent to donate, issue a receipt and keep you informed. We collect no banking data on this site (donations are made by bank transfer).

Processing is based on your consent, given when you submit the forms, and on the association's legitimate interest in carrying out its charitable work and informing the public about it.

Photographs of the children at the orphanage are subject to enhanced protection: the faces of minors are masked, no full name is associated with their location, and no data relating to their health, religion or origin accompanies their image. Their publication rests on the written authorisation of each child's legal representative (guardian), in strict respect of their dignity and best interests, in accordance with the Digital Code of Benin and international child protection standards.

The site is hosted on infrastructure located within the European Union; its delivery is handled by Cloudflare, Inc. (United States). These providers act as processors, bound by an agreement compliant with Article 28 of the GDPR. Any transfer of data outside the European Union or Benin is governed by the appropriate safeguards provided for under the applicable regulations.

Data is kept for as long as necessary for the purpose pursued (handling your request, the donation relationship), then archived or deleted in accordance with legal obligations.

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to and restrict the processing of your data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to [email protected].

We use an audience measurement tool (PostHog) for statistical purposes, to improve the site. No data is sold on.

You may lodge a complaint with the competent authority: the Personal Data Protection Authority of Benin (APDP, apdp.bj) for the data of people located in Benin, and the Personal Data Protection Authority of Monaco for processing falling under the Principality.
